Recognized as the premier education department, SBED plays a central role in the provision of monastic education.

The department diligently compiles papers for debates, orchestrates written examinations, and meticulously schedules oral examinations. Students are duly recognized for their academic achievements through awards and honors, which are bestowed in accordance with their scholastic performance.

Upon the successful completion of their monastic studies, SBED bestows certificates or degrees upon students in acknowledgement of their academic accomplishments, a distinction conferred based on the grades earned throughout their educational journey.

And they retain the role for a duration of two years.
